Phuket Orchid Garden and Thai Village

The Orchid Garden and Thai village are located in the Samkong district, in a restful, lakeside location on the outskirts of Phuket town.

The orchid gardens cover an area of 8,000 square meters, and has a wide range of orchids.

Some of these orchids are unique to the region and provide a fantastic, colourful scene.

The “village” is really a stage presentation meant to portray Thai culture, with sets showing the old rural bamboo houses with thatched roofs.

Traditional dances are performed with the actors and dancers wearing original style costumes.

Music is provided by traditional Thai musical instruments such as the Thaporn, which is a type of drum. A very important aspect of the village “mission” is an elaborate Loy Krathorn education program which it conducts in the evenings. It involves lecture, feasting, musical and dancing presentations, and authentic costuming.
