Phuket Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre

Located in the Khao Phra National park at the Bang Pae waterfall, the centre was set up to help protect young gibbons after their mothers were killed by poachers.

The rehabilitation centre cares for and raises them, and eventually returns them to the wild.

The centre is staffed by volunteers and is funded through donations.

Tours of the centre, which is open from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, are free.
